Wasn't expecting to see so many whales and splashes. Tour guide was very informative and educational too.

We enjoyed the Sydney Discovery Lunch Cruise. It was very relaxing and the commentary was informative. The BBQ lunch was very tasty - We had sausages and chicken with a bread roll and three delicious salads. It was a better BBQ lunch than I had expected. The only down-side was that we found it difficult (and others I spoke with) to find the departure wharf., which can be stressful! We were walking all around and I really thought we were going to miss the boat! When I called the phone number on the tickets, it went to message. Other passengers I spoke with had the same experience. It would be good if the wharf had some signage or even a number, so at least you know you are waiting in the right spot. We didn't realize that it is with the Jet Boats, where there were a lot of people lined up putting on purple and orange raincoats. There was no waiting boat and no signs regarding this cruise so we just kept walking around and asking people.

The boat was late to pick us up at the wharf, once on board we were not allowed to order a drink from the bar, not even a soft drink for the kids. We were told we needed to wait until after the buffet was served. The buffet was served straight away but by the time the last person was served after lining up for at least 10-15 minutes they called for seconds and said they were closing up in 5 minutes as we were about to reach the Island. The bucket of prawns I had pre ordered were NOT a bucket of prawns, it was 6 prawns on a paper plate full of water, they had tried to put ice on them but because of the heat it melted straight away so they left them sitting in the water. The prawns were disgusting and I could only 1 as I started to gag, they should have been thrown out days earlier as they were not fresh. The oysters I had pre ordered were also not fresh, had started to turn green around the edges so I just threw the dozen in the bin. One staff member started raising her voice at passengers as they were not fast enough to get their food and the buffet needed to close as we were pretty much at the island. Once at the island you could not snorkel it was too rocky and dangerous. The island time was cut to 45 minutes instead of 1 hour due to the boat originally picking us up late. The trip back was the captain yelling 'do no serve her she already had her free drink' to which the passenger replied 'I am paying for this one I know I have already used my voucher' I then tried to line up on the trip back to get myself and the kids a drink, after a 20 line up I finally was served to which I was told 'you better hurry up and scull them we are about to pull up' Terrible service, food was awful and the staff not impressed to be there. Never again was an absolute waste of money!

Fabulous trip - saw lots of whales - quite close. Extensive commentary. Lunch good. Plenty of room to sit and space for viewing.

The check in procedure was very easy, The information given by the captain was excellent. Food was surprisingly good for a bbq buffet on a boat ! Definitely value for money.
